Fourth of July Fun

Josh and I headed to Ohio earrrrrrly Friday morning for the Fourth of July holiday. We both got our naps, so we were refreshed and ready for the big badminton games when we arrived at my parent's house. We had a lot of fun playing, enjoying the gorgeous, cool weather, then headed up to Cincinnati for the Reds/Cardinals game.

The Great American Ballpark (fireworks come out these towers when a Reds homerun is hit)

Eric and Nicole enjoying the game.

Mom and Robin

Dad enjoying the game, not sure about Josh (if you can see the scoreboard, Reds are winning 1-0)

I found this picture on our camera, guess Josh took it:) This man had a big game, largely responsible for the score you now see on the big board.

The troops hoping to rally their team to victory.

Too little too late, Cards win and Josh is now a happy camper (despite his allergy swollen eyes)

We also got to see a fantastic July 4th Firework Show, as well as the Screaming Eagles (parachuters who land in the stadium) after the game. Well worth hanging around for!

Saturday we had both sides of the family come out for grilling and games. Josh did a great job on the burgers and hot dogs and the rest of the feast was delicious as well! Despite some rain showers, everyone had a good time playing corn hole, badminton, baseball, riding the 4-wheeler and visiting. I didn't have the camera out much but here is what I got!

Saturday night we headed to Eric and Nicole's new homestead....it is coming up quickly! Can't wait to see the finished product. Afterwards, we had dinner at a great wings place with an absolutely fantastic waiter!

Sunday, most of the kids went back home. I hung around and worked at my parents until Wednesday evening, since Josh was going on a mission trip out of the country. We had a lot of fun, as always, with all our family! Hope you all had a wonderful Fourth of July!
