Josh's Projects

Josh has had a busy spring and summer so far. He has done a fantastic job of completing projects and GTD (getting things done) around the house. Here is a glimpse into his mornings and weekends....

Josh's garden has moved to a new spot this year and it is doing well!

First Fruits of his labor

Josh pressure-washed and stained the deck. It looks so good! (Arch-nemesis #1, Wisteria that Josh "trims" twice a week. Nothing can kill that thing!)

We decided to open the pool again this year (which Josh does 95% of the work, so easy decision for me:) This year, we drained the pool cover completely which made the water SO much cleaner to start off with, and was completely clear in about 2 days, a vast improvement. However, a piece to the filter broke, along with our hose, but Josh's perseverance paid off and he fixed it! Or repaired it enough so that we did not have to buy a new one.

Josh's gift to himself this summer was a new T.V. He has been wanting a new T.V. FOREVER. I don't see anything wrong with our current one, but I guess to men a flat screen is just important. So, a fantastic deal was found and here we are. However, being a planner, I begged Josh to not rush in and get just some old T.V. stand, but to give us time to research to find what we really wanted. And to make due with our old $10 entertainment center in the meantime.....he obliged and cut out the shelves to make it fit...however...refuses to paint it to "make it pretty." I think this is his plan to speed up the buying process. Ha! Pretty chintzy but functional for now.

The nephews enjoy it no matter what it looks like. This picture also shows up Josh's "skills": balancing a 4 year old while beating Tucker in Mario Kart, without breaking a sweat.

Thanks for all your hard work Josh! I look forward to the next wave of projects:)
