Kailyn, at 8 months:
- drink 4 (sometimes 5) bottles of formula a day, ranging from 3-6 oz.
- eat 3 meals of baby food a day
- have started a few table foods: Puffs (which you LOVE), bananas (don't really like) and whole wheat bread (LOVE)
- have just recently moved to 2 naps a day, usually 1.5 hours each
- sleep 11-11.5 hours at night
- sleep in all different positions, in a sleep sack with a pacifier (and 2 extras in your crib)
- still nap in the guest bedroom in a pack n play
- wear Size 2 diapers
- wear mostly 3-6 month clothes but are about to move to 6-9 as things are getting too short
- are the most difficult baby in the world to diaper and get dressed, so squirmy
- still have crazy curls on the sides of your head, which I can't even bear to think about cutting
- are a big daddy's girl
- "talk" all the time (and squeal, loudly and shrilly) but have yet to say a real word
- want to crawl so badly but so far get around by lunging and spinning on your tummy
- get very frustrated when you see Isaac crawling:)
- can sit and play with a basketful of toys FOREVER
- still snatch any toy Isaac is playing with
- like to always have something in your hand
- slap or pat everything
- do not like to smile for pictures:)
- like to headbutt Mommy (not hard, just like to press our foreheads together)
- have the sweetest little voice
- have started doing the sign for "more" at the table
- we think you are cutting a bottom front tooth, as it has been swollen and white for a few weeks, but nothing has popped through yet
- love your exersaucer and bouncer, though the bouncer is winning out
- still a little shy around people other than Mommy and Daddy but are getting much better
- get SO excited when you hear the garage door, meaning Daddy is home. So cute!!
- make the funniest expressions, always have us laughing
- are a very sweet and pleasant little girl, and you bring us lots of joy
Isaac, at 8 months:

- have started a few table foods: Puffs, bananas and whole wheat bread. You are so happy when something finally makes it to your mouth! (usually smash it in your hand and squish it up to your mouth.
- have just recently moved to 2 naps a day, usually 1-2 hours each
- sleep about 11 hours at night, are an early riser
- sleep mainly on your tummy, in a sleep sack
- like to prop your feet up on your bumper in your crib
- wear Size 3 diapers
- wear mostly 6-9 month clothes but are about to move to mainly 9 months
- are very cuddly when you wake up
- have quite a bit of hair, which is very interesting after a long hard sleep
- say "baba" " dada" and "mama" all the time (so far "mama" is the only one you have connected to its meaning:)
- started crawling and can now go everywhere!
- can go from sitting to crawling and can 'almost' go from crawling to sitting
- love to crawl over to Kailyn and give her kisses, pull her hair and try to knock her over
- do lots of exploring and can study one thing for a long time
- are also becoming a pretty good toy snatcher
- gives lots of kisses and like to play with others' hair (and your own if you have food all over your hands)
- use your forefinger and thumb to pick up most things
- still love to be around people and to get out and do things
- definite Mama's boy
- are actually starting to suck your thumb more lately
- have started doing the sign for "more" at the table
- your bottom right tooth has come in and the other one is coming in right beside it
- love your exersaucer and bouncy seat
- love love love bathtime
- get SO excited when you hear the garage door, meaning Daddy is home. So cute!!
- very curious and easy going
- are a very sweet, happy little boy and bring us so much joy!
Isaac and Kailyn have grown and changed so much in 8 months time.....what wonderful blessings they are!!! Happy 9 month birthday!
