9 Month Update

9 months already! Sheesh!! Time is flying! I feel like I just did their 8 month update (I did and it was super late:) so here we are again. The pictures are from their 9 month photo shoot. Aunt Dee did an awesome job!




Kailyn, at 9 months:


- drink 4 bottles of formula a day, ranging from 3-6 oz.
- eat 3 meals of baby food a day
- do not care for table food now, only Puffs and cheerios
- take 2 naps a day, usually 1.5 - 2 hours each
- sleep 11-11.5 hours at night
- sleep in all different positions, in a sleep sack with a pacifier (and 2 extras in your crib)
- still nap in the guest bedroom in a pack n play
- quickly moved to Size 3 diapers, as you were leaking through 2s
- wear mostly 6 month clothes and some 6-9
- doing better at diaper changes but still very busy
- pull Isaac's hair ALL the time
- think it is very funny when Mommy gives you a firm "no"
- "talk" all the time (and squeal, loudly and shrilly) but have yet to say a real word
- started army crawling and now can regular crawl anywhere you want to go
- are the "Monica Seles" of crawling (for those of you familiar with her:)
- like to tackle and chase after Isaac
- love to dump baskets of toys and chew and shake them
- like to knock down towers
- have been having giggling episodes lately
- slap or pat everything
- like to help close and open the blinds
- fascinated with light fixtures lately
- did SO much better with your 9 month pictures!
- like to drop/throw things and have someone pick them up
- have started clapping your hands when happy
- doing the "more" sign a lot, away from the table
- also sign "all done"
- still no teeth
- yell out to get our attention, that actually sounds like "hey!"
- make motorcycle noises ALL the time
- pull own hair while eating and drinking
- like to stand and play with things
- super happy lately (thank you!)
- are a very sweet and pleasant little girl, and you bring us lots of joy





Isaac, at 9 months:

- drink 4 bottles of formula a day, ranging from 3-6 oz. (closer to 3 lately....not a big drinker now)
- eat 3 meals of baby food a day
- currently have tried: bread, bananas, pears, cheerios, pasta and Puffs
- take 2 naps a day, usually 1.5 - 2 hours each
- sleep about 11 hours at night
- sleep mainly on your tummy, in a sleep sack
- have started sitting up in your crib
- wear Size 3 diapers
- wear mostly 6-12 month clothes
- not very cuddly anymore, want to be on the move!
- have done much better about pulling Kailyn's hair (are actually listening to "no")
- say "baba" " dada" and "mama" and talk all the time
- have started saying "mama" pretty aggressively and urgently (mainly when hungry)
- have started pulling up to your knees on a lot of things
- can go from sitting to crawling and from crawling to sitting
- love to crawl "with" Kailyn now and beat her to toys
- our big explorer, with the favorites being the hallway and the fireplace
- like knocking down towers and trying to rebuild them
- still give lots of kisses
- enjoy playing with a plastic cup in the bath
- help Mommy open blinds, turn off lights, and close the garage door
- like to play in the kitchen while there is cooking going on
- drooling a lot again, may be time for some more teeth
- not doing any sign language currently
- both of your bottom two front teeth are mainly in
- love to climb "under" your exersaucer
- like to pull out basket of toys
- very curious and easy going
- are a very sweet, happy little boy and bring us so much joy!
