Or at least Isaac does. This is the state I found our beloved bouncy seat in when I returned to the room with Kailyn. Isaac was in the seat, strapped in, for about 4 minutes prior to me returning to the room. When I walked in, I found an empty seat and a little boy sitting under the kitchen table! Guess he is done with that!! Hopefully I can squeeze a little longer out of Kailyn:) Though Isaac is giving her some pointers I think.
This seat has been many things to us:
- a place for the babies to view the world, from the floor or table top
- a place for reading, singing and learning
- a holding place while I change the other's diaper, clothes, etc
- a feeding chair
- a distraction (with the vibrating aspect turned on)
- a waiting chair while the first baby gets their bath
- a toy
- an easy resting place to carry from room to room
We knew the days were numbered but it is still bittersweet. A sad reminder that the babies are no longer babies, but an exciting time as we look to the next phase!
Too cute!! They have come a long way...now on to bigger and better things!
ReplyDeleteAw - this made me tear up . . . time is FLYING . . . they aren't babies anymore! Great post and ode to the blue bouncy seat. Isaac is one smart cookie to get out of that himself! :)
