(Please forgive my spacing on the list below. Blogger wouldn't save my changes/corrections and I was tired of redoing it:)
6-6:45am Wake up time for one or both babies. Half the time they wake up talking other times crying. Usually one baby wakes up the other one.
6:50-7 am Bottle time. 5-7 oz of formula. We each take a baby.
7:10-7:15am Breakfast. Both babies in their seats w/ trays. Stage 2 fruit blend, oatmeal mixed with formula, sometimes yogurt. Then the favorite....Cheerios! Finish with a few songs, a book and clean up.
7:45-8:45am Play play play. K and I explore most of the den, kitchen and living room during this time. Also change diapers at least once:)
8:45-9am Nap time begins. Sleep sacks, pacifier for K. Isaac in his crib, Kailyn in the pack n play in the guestroom. Fans and noise makers on.
10-10:45am Wake up and back to playing. Mainly play with toys, bumbo seats and furniture in the den.
11:30ish Bottle time. 3-5 oz of formula. If feeding Kailyn, Isaac plays with toys in the pack n play. If feeding Isaac, Kailyn sits in her bouncy seat watching a cartoon (and is usually fussing or yelling for us). Kailyn usually holds her own bottle this time.
11:45am Lunch. Usually not big eaters at this time. Start off with a finger food (right now carrots or wheat round with melted cheese). Share a container of Stage 2 fruit and another of a vegetable. If still hungry, yogurt, but this is rare. Both are usually fussing to get down so we cut lunch pretty short
12-12:45pm Exersaucer time for about 15 min while Mommy cleans up (starting to fuss in these now). Then play in the living room, standing on everything and exploring that room and its toys. Diaper change and clothes change.
12:45-1pm Nap time begins. Sleep sacks, pacifier for K. Isaac in his crib, Kailyn in the pack n play in the guestroom. Fans and noise makers on.
2:30-2:45 pm Wake up and back to playing. Mainly play with toys in the den and explore the kitchen, lately pushing around the bar stools.
3:30ish pm Bottle time. 5-7 oz of formula. If feeding Kailyn, Isaac plays with toys in the pack n play. If feeding Isaac, Kailyn sits in her bouncy seat watching a cartoon (and is usually fussing or yelling for us). Kailyn usually holds her own bottle this time.
4:00pm Change diapers and take a walk around the neighborhood if the weather is nice. If it is Wednesday, we go to Publix instead for grocery shopping.
5:00pm Dinner. This is when they are the most hungry at a mealtime. Bowl of rice cereal mixed with formula, Stage 2 container of vegetables, container of a meat. If still hungry, a container of fruit or yogurt. Try a table food, like broccoli or blueberries. Then a few Cheerios for dessert:) Read a book, sing a few songs. Daddy usually comes home during dinner.
5:45-6:15pm Play in the living room and kitchen or with Daddy, wherever he may be. Tend to be fussy during this time.
6:20pm If bath night, usually Kailyn takes bath first while Isaac is in bouncy seat. Daddy does bathtime while I set out sleepsacks, pajamas, etc, pick up house and prepare bottles, (if a non-bath night, playtime is extended til 6:45)
6:45ish Bottle time for both babies. 1-5 oz of formula (varies greatly)
6:50-7pm BEDTIME!! Kailyn goes in sleepsack with pacifier and has 2 extra pacifiers in bed. Isaac is just in sleepsack. We sing to them as we put them to bed (in cribs in the same room), turn on their noisemaker, fan and air purifier and off to dreamland they go. There is a night light on in the hallway. Both babies will usually fall asleep within 5 minutes, with zero to very little crying.
The rest of our night is spent picking up the house, washing bottles, cleaning, possibly doing some type of exercising, and whatever productivity we can manage until we lose steam around 9pm:)
** For those of you worried about Kailyn's "cartoon time", it is approximately 7 minutes in duration and a much needed distraction:) :)
Here are a few snapshots of a "normal" day:
Can't believe the twins are getting close to a year old -- so glad you are enjoying each stage -- as we are seeing and hearing about them!
ReplyDeleteI get tired just reading about your schedule! .....and it is absolutely true, because I have seen you in action! You are an amazing mommy!
