We had our first "big" injury on K and I's actual birthday. The kids were playing baseball in the front yard while all of us, including 2 sets of grandparents and my sister watched/played. K ran across the driveway to the "girls' field", slipped, fell and scraped up her knees and elbow pretty badly. She is a tough girl but for the next 3 days, she would whimper whenever her arm was touched and would not straight her elbow, even a little. She kept it firmly by her side. We thought she was being dramatic with all of our company catering to her but after 3 days we had it checked out. After an X-ray, CT scan, 2 different slings/braces and a few follow up appointments, as well as physical therapy with her daddy, it was determined that she was ok. No breaks...just a sore arm, possibly from the big scab and she just needed A LOT of coaxing to move it. After 2 weeks, she was back to her normal self. Gave us all quite a scary though!
