Happy Valentine's Day

Valentine outfits after naps...they were so excited:)

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Snow Day

Well, there have been lots of warnings for snow this year, but so far, we had just gotten some ice. So it was to our surprise to see the ground covered in beautiful white on Thursday morning. I really wanted to take the babies out in it, to get some pictures, have a memory, etc:) but it was just too cold and too much trouble. So here are the snow pictures, and then what K and I were doing inside, while it was snowing outside.

8 Month Update

Time to do an 8 month update, as they are 9 months old today:) And I think I skipped a 7 month one.......

(so hard to get them both to look at camera and smile at the same time!)

Kailyn, at 8 months:

- drink 4 (sometimes 5) bottles of formula a day, ranging from 3-6 oz.
- eat 3 meals of baby food a day
- have started a few table foods: Puffs (which you LOVE), bananas (don't really like) and whole wheat bread (LOVE)
- have just recently moved to 2 naps a day, usually 1.5 hours each
- sleep 11-11.5 hours at night
- sleep in all different positions, in a sleep sack with a pacifier (and 2 extras in your crib)
- still nap in the guest bedroom in a pack n play
- wear Size 2 diapers
- wear mostly 3-6 month clothes but are about to move to 6-9 as things are getting too short
- are the most difficult baby in the world to diaper and get dressed, so squirmy
- still have crazy curls on the sides of your head, which I can't even bear to think about cutting
- are a big daddy's girl
- "talk" all the time (and squeal, loudly and shrilly) but have yet to say a real word
- want to crawl so badly but so far get around by lunging and spinning on your tummy
- get very frustrated when you see Isaac crawling:)
- can sit and play with a basketful of toys FOREVER
- still snatch any toy Isaac is playing with
- like to always have something in your hand
- slap or pat everything
- do not like to smile for pictures:)
- like to headbutt Mommy (not hard, just like to press our foreheads together)
- have the sweetest little voice
- have started doing the sign for "more" at the table
- we think you are cutting a bottom front tooth, as it has been swollen and white for a few weeks, but nothing has popped through yet
- love your exersaucer and bouncer, though the bouncer is winning out
- still a little shy around people other than Mommy and Daddy but are getting much better
- get SO excited when you hear the garage door, meaning Daddy is home. So cute!!
- make the funniest expressions, always have us laughing
- are a very sweet and pleasant little girl, and you bring us lots of joy

Isaac, at 8 months:

- drink 4 (sometimes 5) bottles of formula a day, ranging from 3-6 oz.
- eat 3 meals of baby food a day
- have started a few table foods: Puffs, bananas and whole wheat bread. You are so happy when something finally makes it to your mouth! (usually smash it in your hand and squish it up to your mouth.
- have just recently moved to 2 naps a day, usually 1-2 hours each
- sleep about 11 hours at night, are an early riser
- sleep mainly on your tummy, in a sleep sack
- like to prop your feet up on your bumper in your crib

- are very cuddly when you wake up
- have quite a bit of hair, which is very interesting after a long hard sleep
- say "baba" " dada" and "mama" all the time (so far "mama" is the only one you have connected to its meaning:)
- started crawling and can now go everywhere!
- can go from sitting to crawling and can 'almost' go from crawling to sitting

An Auburn Christmas

This year we spent a 3-day Christmas weekend at the Steeds in Auburn. As always, we had a great time hanging out, eating A TON (especially from the dessert closet), opening presents and enjoying our time together. We didn't get nearly as many pictures as I thought, but here are a few memories of our time in Auburn.

The babies spent a lot of time eating, like the rest of us

Also spent a lot of time on this blanket, rolling around

Steed cousins (one of MANY takes:) Isaac was having a blast.

New coat!

Kiddos' stockings

I love this picture of K b/c it is how she looks ALL the time with company

Cousin Ayla was a huge help with the babies, and they loved it.

Christmas at Our House

We had a fun Christmas season at our house this past December. We did not put up a live Christmas tree with all of our ornaments (just too much this year) but the rest of our decorations went up. Including B and A's 12 foot Christmas tree. As always, we had a lot of fun putting it up and decorating.

Sweet orange noses....they love their orange foods:)

12 foot Christmas tree

Santa stopped by our house a few days early. K and I enjoyed opening (ok eating/chewing) their small stash of stocking gifts and a present from Daddy and Mommy. It was a lot of fun to enjoy their first Christmas at home and we look forward to continuing our Christmas traditions in the years to come.

Long Overdue Thanksgiving Post

Ok, so VERY behind on the blog. I am going to try to get caught up, mainly with just pictures, which is what most people want to see anyway:) For Thanksgiving, we (me and the kiddos) were able to spend about 10 days in Ohio with my family. We had a blast!! Kailyn and Isaac were so pleasant and we were able to enjoy a lot of family time.

Starting to sit on her own very well

Rolling and scooting all over the place

Yeah for food and Thanksgiving bibs!

Very happy for Daddy to arrive

First pigtails!

Tough guy

Wonderful family!
